X-ray photography, performed by archaeological conservator Inger Nyström Godfrey (SVK, Studio Västsvensk Konservering, Gothenburg). It revealed, among other things, that the number of leaves in the laurel wreath on Domitian’s head do not match what can be seen on the painting. Leaves have been added later. There is no trace of an underlying painting. High resolution images are available upon request.
